5'-hydroxyl terminus of double -and single -stranded DNA, RNA and nucleoside 3'-monophosphate molecules.T4PNK also exhibits
3'-phosphatase and 2',3'cyclicphosphodiesterase activities
 

Applications:

1.  5'-phosphorylation of oligonucleotides, PCR products, other DNA or RNA prior to ligation;
2.  Phosphorylation of PCR primers;
3.  Detection of DNA modification by the [32P]-postlabeling assay;
4.  Removal of 3'-phosphate groups.
